6th B. Krishna Memorial National IPR Moot Court Competition 2014
Symbiosis Law School, Pune, the constituent of Symbiosis International University, kick started its 3 day long 6th B. Krishna Memorial National IPR Moot Court Competition 2014 on 7th of February, 2014 in association with Krishna and Saurastri Associates at 17:30 Hrs in the SLS, Pune Auditorium.
Hon’ble Mr. Justice J.A. Patil, former Judge Bombay High Court, Chairman, Commission of Inquiry into alleged irregularities relating to Adarsh C.H.S Ltd., Colaba, Mumbai graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
The Krishna National IPR Moot Court Competition-2014 is going to witness various historic moments this time. It is going to be a unique blend of substantive laws and the procedural requirements of intellectual property regime prevalent worldwide. The usual IPR Law based problem this time is based on national and international arbitration laws too. 26 Law Schools across the country including NLSIU, Bangalore; NLU, Delhi; RMLNLU, Lucknow: TSNLU, Tirchi: DSNLU, Vishakhapatnam; NLU, Orissa; Jindal Global Law School, Sonipat; ILS, Pune and IIT Kharagpur shall be battling out to conquer the glittering trophy.
Dr. Rajani Gupte, Vice Chancellor, SIU, in her inaugural address emphasized upon the need of practical learning. She said that Dr. Gurpur’s innovative vision is playing a vital role in translating it to reality. She further added that, the innovation in the field of education, which has been witnessed by Law or Business school, has in fact opened doors for a more profound personal and friendly teaching experience that further the knowledge of the students.

Live Webcast of IR-Conference held at Symbiosis International University
Symbiosis International University organised a two-day conference on International Relations with the theme of INDIA AND DEVELOPMENT PARTNERSHIPS IN ASIA AND AFRICA: TOWARDS A NEW PARADIGM. The event was held at the University’s Lavale Campus in Pune on the 14th – 15th December, 2013 with the support of the Public Diplomacy Division, Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India.
